Bring color and freshness to your table with this simple, healthy winter fruit salad. It uses seasonal citrus, kiwi, and pomegranate, tossed in a bright honey-lime dressing. This recipe is quick to prepare and perfect for brunches or light desserts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large navel oranges, peeled and segmented
  • 3 clementines, peeled and halved
  • 2 kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup pomegranate arils
  • 2 crisp apples (like Honeycrisp or Fuji), cored and diced
  • 1 firm pear (like Bosc or Anjou), cored and diced
  • 1 cup green grapes, halved
  • For the Honey-Lime Dressing:
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit: Peel and segment the oranges, peel and halve the clementines, peel and slice the kiwis. Dice the apples and pear, removing the cores. Halve the grapes. Place all prepared fruit into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Make the dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together the fresh lime juice, honey, and lime zest until the honey is fully dissolved.
  3. Dress the salad: Pour the honey-lime dressing evenly over the fruit mixture. Gently toss the fruit until everything is lightly coated.
  4. Chill (optional): For best flavor, cover the bowl and chill the fruit salad in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve immediately as a refreshing side dish or light dessert.

Notes

  • To keep apples and pears from browning before you mix everything, toss the diced pieces in a little extra lime juice immediately after cutting.
  • For extra visual appeal, use a mix of red and green grapes.
  • This salad is a fantastic, healthy snack for kids and adults alike.
