Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
Stir the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder into the meat mixture. Simmer for 5 minutes.
In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, and black pepper. Mix well.
Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce mixture across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Arrange a single layer of wonton wrappers over the sauce, overlapping slightly if necessary to cover the bottom.
Spread half of the ricotta mixture evenly over the wonton wrappers.
Sprinkle one-third of the mozzarella cheese over the ricotta layer.
Spoon half of the remaining meat sauce over the cheese layer.
Add a second layer of wonton wrappers.
Spread the remaining ricotta mixture over this layer of wrappers.
Sprinkle another one-third of the mozzarella cheese over the ricotta.
Top with the remaining meat sauce.
Place the final layer of wonton wrappers on top.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top layer.
Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
You can substitute ground turkey or Italian sausage for the ground beef.
If you use round gyoza skins, you will need more wrappers to cover the layers.
For a richer flavor, use a high-quality marinara sauce.
