Make these rich, creamy, and decadent sugar cookie truffles using just four simple ingredients. They are no-bake, melt in your mouth, and perfect for parties or quick sweet treats.
12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers or white chocolate chips
1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother dipping)
Festive sprinkles (for decoration)
Instructions
Place the sugar cookies in a large bowl or a food processor. If using a food processor, pulse until you have fine crumbs. If mixing by hand, crush the cookies thoroughly until they resemble coarse sand.
Add the softened cream cheese to the cookie crumbs. Mix the ingredients together using a hand mixer or a sturdy spoon until a uniform, thick dough forms. You should be able to roll it without it crumbling apart.
Roll the cookie dough mixture into small, uniform balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the rolled balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Chill the cookie balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This step helps them firm up so they hold their shape during dipping.
Melt the white chocolate wafers. You can do this in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval until smooth. If using, stir in the coconut oil for a thinner consistency.
Dip each chilled truffle into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Use a fork or a dipping tool to lift the truffle out, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
Immediately place the coated truffle back onto the parchment-lined sheet. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle the top with festive sprinkles.
Allow the chocolate coating to set completely at room temperature, or speed up the process by chilling them for another 15 minutes.
Notes
Using pre-made soft sugar cookies, like Lofthouse cookies, makes this a true no-bake dessert.
For a different flavor, substitute the white chocolate coating with milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate wafers.
If your dough seems too soft to roll, chill it for an extra 15 minutes before shaping.
You can make these cookie balls ahead of time and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
