1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
1/4 cup tahini
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
Pinch of ground cloves
1/4 cup olive oil, plus more for drizzling
Salt to taste
Pita bread, for serving
Instructions
Combine chickpeas, pumpkin puree, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves in a food processor.
Pulse until the mixture is well combined.
With the food processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the hummus is smooth and creamy.
Season with salt to taste.
Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl. Drizzle with a little extra olive oil.
Serve with pita bread.
Notes
For a smoother hummus, process for an extra minute.
Adjust spices to your preference.
You can add a tablespoon of water if the hummus is too thick.
