Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or a mix)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, gently combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, and pepper. Do not overmix.
Roll the mixture into small, bite-sized meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake the meatballs for 15-18 minutes, or until cooked through.
While the meatballs bake, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl to create the glaze.
Remove the cooked meatballs from the oven.
In a large skillet over medium heat, pour the glaze mixture. Bring it to a gentle simmer.
Add the baked meatballs to the skillet. Toss gently to coat them completely in the maple Dijon glaze.
Serve immediately with toothpicks for easy grabbing.
Notes
You can use ground chicken or pork for a lighter flavor profile.
For an extra layer of flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder to the meatball mix.
If you prefer a thicker sauce, let the glaze simmer for an extra minute before adding the meatballs.
