Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, or a mix)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, gently combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, salt, and pepper. Do not overmix.
  3. Roll the mixture into small, bite-sized meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs for 15-18 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs bake, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl to create the glaze.
  6. Remove the cooked meatballs from the oven.
  7. In a large skillet over medium heat, pour the glaze mixture. Bring it to a gentle simmer.
  8. Add the baked meatballs to the skillet. Toss gently to coat them completely in the maple Dijon glaze.
  9. Serve immediately with toothpicks for easy grabbing.

Notes

  • You can use ground chicken or pork for a lighter flavor profile.
  • For an extra layer of flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder to the meatball mix.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, let the glaze simmer for an extra minute before adding the meatballs.
