Mexican street corn sauce

This is a creamy and zesty sauce perfect for elote and other Mexican dishes. It’s quick to make and adds a delicious punch of flavor.

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise and sour cream.
  2. Stir in the chopped cilantro, lime juice, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  3. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  4. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.

Notes

  • For a spicier sauce, add more cayenne pepper or a pinch of finely minced jalapeño.
