Maple Glazed Ham with Roasted Clementines

Create a stunning centerpiece for your holiday table with this Maple Glazed Ham featuring bright, sweet roasted clementines. This recipe brings seasonal joy right to your dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bone-in fully cooked ham (about 8-10 lbs)
  • 1 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 12 fresh clementines, halved

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Place the ham cut-side down in a large roasting pan.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and ground cloves to create the glaze.
  3. Brush about one-third of the glaze evenly over the surface of the ham.
  4. Arrange the halved clementines around the ham in the roasting pan.
  5. Bake the ham for about 1 hour and 45 minutes, brushing with the remaining glaze every 30 minutes.
  6. During the last 20 minutes of cooking, nestle the clementine halves cut-side up around the ham. Continue brushing glaze over the ham and clementines.
  7. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) for the final 10 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  8. Remove the ham from the oven. Let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving with the roasted clementines.

Notes

  • If your ham is already spiral-cut, the glaze will penetrate deeper.
  • Use high-quality pure maple syrup for the best flavor in your glaze.
  • You can substitute oranges for clementines if they are not in season.
  • Tent the ham loosely with foil if the glaze starts to brown too quickly.
