Lunchroom Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

Relive your school days with these delightful no-bake chocolate peanut butter bars. They feature a chewy peanut butter base topped with a rich chocolate layer, perfect for lunchboxes or a sweet treat.

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, peanut butter, and powdered sugar. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the peanut butter mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons of butter, stirring until smooth.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate is firm.
  7. Lift the bars out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut into squares.

Notes

  • For easier cutting, let the bars sit at room temperature for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
