Ingredients
Scale
2 cups frozen cherries
1.5 oz tequila
0.75 oz fresh lime juice
0.5 oz orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)
0.25 oz simple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
Ice (optional, for a thicker consistency)
Garnish: lime wheel, cherry, salt rim (optional)
Instructions
Prepare your glass: If you like a salted rim, rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip it in coarse salt.
Combine ingredients: In a blender, add the frozen cherries, tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and simple syrup (if using).
Blend: Blend until smooth and slushy. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of water or more lime juice. If it’s too thin, add a few ice cubes and blend again.
Serve: Pour the margarita into your prepared glass.
Garnish: Add a lime wheel or a cherry for garnish. Enjoy immediately!
Notes
For a non-alcoholic version, omit the tequila and orange liqueur. Add a little more cherry juice or a splash of grenadine for sweetness and color.
Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup, or by using sweeter cherries.
Experiment with different types of tequila for a unique flavor profile.
