Ingredients
Scale
6-8 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, and vanilla extract. Toss gently to coat.
Pour the peach mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the butter turns a golden brown and smells nutty. Remove from heat immediately.
In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup flour, brown sugar, rolled oats, cinnamon, and salt.
Pour the brown butter over the dry ingredients and mix with a fork until crumbly.
Sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the peaches.
Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, ensure the brown butter is fully incorporated into the topping mixture.
Use ripe, fresh peaches for the best flavor and texture.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
