Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso shots (about 2 shots)
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy works)
  • 1/4 cup eggnog (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1-2 teaspoons sugar or sweetener (to taste)
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew your coffee or pull your espresso shots. Set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the milk and eggnog.
  3. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until warm and steaming. Do not boil.
  4. Remove from heat and whisk in your sugar or sweetener until fully dissolved.
  5. Pour the warm eggnog mixture into your mug.
  6. Pour the hot coffee or espresso over the eggnog mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  7. Top generously with whipped cream.
  8. Dust the top with a pinch of ground nutmeg. Serve immediately and enjoy your treat.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use whole milk or half-and-half.
  • If you like your latte very sweet, add the sweetener directly to the coffee before mixing.
  • Warm your mug beforehand to keep your latte hot longer.
