Create a festive and fun Cheesy Christmas Tree Pull-Apart Bread that’s perfect for holiday gatherings. This recipe transforms simple dough and cheese into a delightful centerpiece that’s as enjoyable to make as it is to eat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (13.5 ounce) can refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. Unroll the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. Cut the dough into 24 equal pieces.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella and Monterey Jack cheeses.
  4. Press a small amount of cheese mixture into the center of each dough piece.
  5. Pinch the edges of the dough to seal the cheese inside.
  6. Arrange the dough pieces on the prepared baking sheet in the shape of a Christmas tree. Start with a wide base and gradually narrow towards the top, creating a triangular shape.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt.
  8. Brush the butter mixture evenly over the dough pieces.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let the bread cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.

Notes

  • For a crispier exterior, you can brush the dough with a little olive oil before baking.
  • Feel free to add other shredded cheeses like cheddar or Parmesan for extra flavor.
  • You can make small cuts on the top of each dough ball to resemble ornaments before baking.
