Ingredients
Scale
1 large flatbread or pre-made pizza crust
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 ounces spicy Italian sausage, casing removed
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
4 ounces fresh burrata cheese, torn into pieces
Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the spicy sausage and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
Place the flatbread or pizza crust on a baking sheet. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the crust.
Sprinkle the cooked sausage, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using) over the sauce.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the sauce is bubbly.
Remove the pizza from the oven. Scatter the torn burrata pieces over the hot pizza.
Let it sit for a minute to soften the burrata, then garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
You can substitute other types of sausage if preferred.
Add your favorite pizza toppings like mushrooms or onions.
For a crispier crust, bake directly on the oven rack.
