Ingredients
Scale
2 frozen bananas, sliced
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
Toppings: Sliced almonds, fresh berries, a sprinkle of extra chai spice
Instructions
Place the frozen banana slices, almond milk, chai spice blend, vanilla extract, almond butter, and maple syrup (if using) into a high-speed blender.
Start blending on low, using the tamper to push the ingredients down toward the blades.
Gradually increase the speed until the mixture is thick and smooth, resembling soft-serve ice cream. Add a tiny splash more milk only if necessary to keep the blades moving.
Scoop the thick smoothie immediately into a bowl.
Arrange your desired toppings artfully over the top.
Serve and enjoy your Sunday Flavor moment right away.
Notes
You control the spice level; adjust the chai blend to your taste preference.
For an extra cold bowl, chill your serving bowl in the freezer for 10 minutes before assembling.
If you do not have a pre-made chai blend, combine 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp cardamom, 1/8 tsp ginger, a pinch of cloves, and a tiny pinch of black pepper.
