Candy Cane Popcorn Clusters

Make these simple, no-bake Candy Cane Popcorn Clusters for a quick holiday snack. They are perfect for gifting or enjoying during festive movie nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 cups popped popcorn (plain, air-popped recommended)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, helps with smooth melting)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Place the popped popcorn in a large bowl.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using).
  4. Melt the chocolate mixture in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until smooth. Do not overheat.
  5. Pour the melted white chocolate over the popcorn. Gently toss until the popcorn is evenly coated.
  6. Spread the coated popcorn onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer, or form into loose clusters.
  7. Immediately sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies over the chocolate-coated popcorn.
  8. Allow the clusters to set completely at room temperature, or chill in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to speed up the process.
  9. Break into individual clusters once firm.

Notes

  • You can use milk chocolate or dark chocolate instead of white chocolate for a different flavor profile.
  • Store leftover clusters in an airtight container at cool room temperature for up to one week.
  • For easier cleanup, lightly spray your hands with cooking spray when forming clusters by hand.
