Perfect Buffalo Chicken Wings: 1 Joyful Recipe

Buffalo Chicken Wings

Spicy Buffalo Chicken Wings are a crowd-pleasing appetizer perfect for game days or any gathering. This recipe features crispy chicken wings tossed in a classic hot sauce and butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional: Celery sticks and blue cheese dressing for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the chicken wings thoroughly dry with paper towels. This helps them crisp up.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the hot sauce, melted butter, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and salt.
  4. Place the dried chicken wings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, then flip the wings and bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the wings from the oven and place them in a large bowl.
  7. Pour the buffalo sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Serve immediately with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing, if desired.

Notes

  • For extra crispy wings, you can bake them on a wire rack set inside the baking sheet.
  • Adjust the amount of hot sauce to your preferred spice level.
  • The sauce can be made ahead of time and gently reheated before tossing with the wings.
