Broccoli Cheddar Stuffing Balls

Transform your leftover stuffing and fresh broccoli into delightful, cheesy party bites! These Broccoli Cheddar Stuffing Balls are perfect for your next gathering and use up what you have on hand.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked stuffing (leftover is great)
  • 1 cup finely chopped fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese, plus extra for topping
  • 2 tablespoons milk or cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for dusting)
  • Cooking spray or oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked stuffing, chopped broccoli, beaten egg, 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese, and milk. Mix until everything is just combined. The mixture should hold together when squeezed.
  3. Place the flour on a shallow plate.
  4. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the stuffing mixture and gently roll it into a ball shape.
  5. Lightly dust each ball with flour.
  6. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Sprinkle a little extra shredded cheddar cheese on top of each ball.
  8. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the balls are heated through and the cheese topping is melted and slightly golden.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy your tasty creation!

Notes

  • If your stuffing is very dry, add a splash more milk until the mixture binds easily.
  • You can blanch the broccoli for 1 minute before chopping if you prefer a softer texture.
  • These balls are excellent served with a side of cranberry sauce or a creamy dip.
