Close-up of creamy, orange-tinted big mac sauce with visible relish pieces in a small white bowl.

Make a quick, tangy, and creamy sauce that tastes just like the famous Big Mac condiment using simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet Pickle Relish
  • 1 tablespoon Yellow Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon White Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder

Instructions

  1. Combine the mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until the sauce is completely smooth and uniform in color.
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to blend.
  4. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed, adding a pinch more vinegar for tang or paprika for color.
  5. Use the sauce immediately on burgers, as a dip for fries, or in wraps.

Notes

  • For a slightly healthier version, substitute half the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
  • If you do not have sweet pickle relish, use finely chopped dill pickles and add 1 teaspoon of sugar.
  • This sauce tastes best after chilling for several hours.
