  • 2 pounds pork shoulder
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 12 small corn tortillas
  • Toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, chopped red onion, cilantro, sour cream, avocado

Instructions

  1. Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the pork.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper.
  5. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the pork is tender and easily shreds.
  6. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
  7. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.
  8. Warm the corn tortillas according to package directions.
  9. Fill each tortilla with the BBQ pulled pork and your favorite toppings.

  • For a spicier taco, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the sauce mixture.
