Ingredients
Scale
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 wheel (8 oz) brie cheese
1/4 cup jam (your favorite kind)
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Optional: Crackers or bread for serving
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Lightly flour your work surface. Unfold the puff pastry sheet.
Place the wheel of brie in the center of the puff pastry.
Spoon the jam over the top of the brie.
Bring the edges of the puff pastry up and over the brie, sealing them together at the top. Trim any excess pastry.
Place the pastry-wrapped brie seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush the entire pastry with the beaten egg wash.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm with crackers or bread.
Notes
For a beautiful golden crust, make sure to coat the pastry evenly with the egg wash.
Experiment with different jam flavors like fig, apricot, or raspberry.
If the pastry starts to brown too quickly, you can loosely tent it with foil.
