Crispy Garlic Parmesan Air Fryer Shrimp

Make perfectly crispy and juicy shrimp in your air fryer in under 15 minutes using simple garlic and Parmesan seasoning.

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (fresh or frozen and thawed)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. If using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely and pat them very dry with paper towels. This step helps achieve crispiness.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil until lightly coated.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, pepper, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the shrimp and toss until the shrimp are evenly coated.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
  6. Place the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  7. Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time, until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika to the seasoning mix.
  • If you prefer a softer coating, toss the cooked shrimp with 1 teaspoon of melted butter just before serving.
  • Do not skip drying the shrimp; excess moisture prevents crisping.
