1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter and powdered sugar. Mix them together by hand with a sturdy spoon or spatula until the mixture is light and creamy. You do not need an electric mixer for this step.
Gradually add the flour to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms. Be careful not to overmix the dough.
Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, or shape it into logs and slice them into 1/2-inch thick rounds. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 1 inch between them.
